Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a major service of sewerage pumps at Mbongolwane Hospital. The service aims to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and longevity of the sewerage pumps by conducting comprehensive servicing, inspections, and necessary repairs as per the schedule and technical specifications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing a major service on the sewerage pumps at Mbongolwane Hospital.
• Servicing the sewer plant equipment according to the scheduled dates and requirements.
• Providing written reports on the service conducted.
• Submitting signed job cards by the maintenance officer.
• Submitting original tax invoices and certificates of work done for payment processing.
• Removing, cleaning, and thoroughly inspecting all pumps, ensuring they are disconnected from power before removal, and reinstalled in a clean and dry condition.
• Ensuring pumps are operational after servicing and reporting any issues immediately.
• Providing quotations for any repairs outside the scheduled service if needed.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Proof of registration with CIDB at ME Grade 2 or above.
• Valid tax clearance certificate.
• Proof of qualified artisan trade test to work on sewer plant equipment.
• Letter of good standing.
• Completion certificates (minimum of three copies).
• Service the sewer plant equipment as per the schedule, including removal, cleaning, inspection, and reinstallation of pumps.
• Report submission detailing the service performed.
• Immediate reporting of any equipment malfunction before or after service.
• Ensure all pumps are disconnected from power before removal and are cleaned and dried before reinstallation.
• All work must comply with relevant standards and specifications attached in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Qualified artisans with trade testing certification for sewer plant equipment.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining sewerage pumps and related equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to electrical and mechanical servicing of sewerage systems.
• Ability to produce detailed reports and documentation of the service conducted.
• Competence in troubleshooting and repairing sewerage pumps and associated components.
• Capacity to adhere to scheduled service dates and provide timely reports and quotations for repairs outside the scope.
