Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure major services to fire equipment at Qadi Clinic, ensuring that fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment are serviced in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Scope

The scope includes the comprehensive servicing of fire extinguishers (specifically 9kg units) at Qadi Clinic, complying with occupational health and safety regulations, municipal requirements, and relevant standards. The service must include inspection, recharging, repair, and issuing of after-service reports, with all equipment marked for the next service date.

Technical Requirements

• The service provider must be compliant with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993 (Act 85 of 1993) and Vessels under Pressure Regulation 11(1).
• The service company must hold a valid registration certificate issued by the South African Qualification and Certification Committee – FIRE (SAQCC FIRE).
• Technicians must possess valid SAQCC fire identification cards, and the technician's association must match the company's recorded on the ID card.
• The service must include inspection, reconditioning, marking for next service, and issuing an after-service report.
• All equipment must meet municipal building requirements and be SABS approved.

Skills Requirements

• Technicians must be certified and registered with SAQCC FIRE, possessing valid identification cards.
• Technicians must demonstrate knowledge of fire safety standards, inspection, and servicing procedures.
• Service providers must have experience in handling and servicing fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment.
• Ability to produce detailed after-service reports and ensure equipment is marked for the next scheduled service.
