Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to conduct oil transformer and dissolved gas laboratory tests for Makhado Municipality substations. The aim is to ensure the proper maintenance and safety of transformers through accurate testing and analysis.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of laboratory testing services for various transformers at specified substations within Makhado Municipality. The services cover testing of transformers ranging from 1MVA to 10MVA at multiple locations, including Makhado Town, Levubu, Tshipise, Eltivillas, and Cricket Club. The scope also involves submitting a total cost proposal, including VAT where applicable, and complying with all specified technical and administrative requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Conduct oil testing for transformers of specified capacities (e.g., 1MVA, 2MVA, 5MVA, 10MVA).
• Perform laboratory analysis of transformer oil and dissolved gases.
• Provide detailed test reports for each transformer tested.
• Ensure tests are conducted at accredited laboratories meeting relevant standards.
