Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supply of male medical circumcision kits that meet specified standards and specifications, ensuring safe, sterile, and effective equipment for circumcision procedures at Itshehlejuba Hospital.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of male medical circumcision kits, including all necessary items packed in a single kit, conforming to specified standards (SANS). The procurement is for a one-time contract with a validity period of 90 days, intended for use at Itshehlejuba Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal.

Technical Requirements

• The kit must be single-use and contain items listed in the specification, including surgical gloves, scissors, sutures, needles, syringes, gauze, surgical tape, and other sterile instruments.
• All items must be packed in a kit form, labeled appropriately, and comply with the attached specifications and quality standards (SANS).
• The kit must include items such as ETO indicators, crepe paper wrapping, examination gloves, disposable aprons, dissecting scissors, gauze, sutures, needles, syringes, surgical tape, forceps, and a multipurpose container tray.
• The kit must be sterile, packaged to prevent damage during transit, and suitable for dorsal slit procedure.
• Samples are not required for this procurement.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate capacity to supply the specified quantity (minimum 150 kits) within the stipulated delivery period.
• Bidder must provide proof of previous successful supply of similar medical kits to public health institutions.
• Bidder must comply with all administrative, technical, and specification requirements as outlined in the evaluation criteria.
• Bidder must have the ability to deliver the kits in accordance with the quality standards and packaging specifications specified.
• Bidder should possess the necessary logistical and technical skills to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of sterile medical equipment.
