Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to manufacture, deliver, and install bus branding on eight (8) buses, including rebranding on four buses and branding from scratch on four additional buses. The project aims to enhance the visual branding of the buses in line with provided visuals, ensuring high-quality application, removal, and rebranding as required.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply, print, and apply full-body bus branding on 8 buses, covering three sides of each bus.
• Branding to be carried out on-site at the Durban Central Bus Depot.
• Removal of existing branding and rebranding on 4 buses.
• Branding from scratch on 4 buses.
• Design adaptation and artwork setup to meet production specifications.
• Provision of material warranty (minimum 1 year).
• Labor, installation, and quality inspection.
• Travel and on-site application costs.
• Branding removal services, with quotes covering removal on each bus.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Use of full-color print on translucent clear vinyl with a light base of white.
• Application on windows with perforated film for visibility and durability.
• Material must resist fading, peeling, and defects under normal operating conditions for at least one year.
• Branding must cover three sides of each bus, with proper design adaptation and artwork setup.
• Removal of existing branding and rebranding must be performed efficiently.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in large-format printing and vehicle branding applications.
• Ability to adapt artwork to production specifications.
• Proficiency in on-site installation and removal of bus branding.
• Capability to ensure high-quality, durable finishes that meet warranty standards.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards during installation.
