Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide manufacturing and value extraction services related to external works at the Shanza Skills Development Centre. This includes site establishment, earthworks, paving, stormwater drainage, and provisional sums to ensure comprehensive development of the site.

Scope

The scope encompasses the following key activities:

• Site establishment and accommodation setup, including site offices and security arrangements.
• Earthworks such as site clearance, excavation, stabilization, and preparation of the driveway and pavement areas.
• Paving works involving supply and laying of interlocking paving bricks, weed removal, and pest control measures.
• Stormwater drainage works, including kerbing, channeling, and edge strips to facilitate water runoff.
• Provision of provisional sums for community liaison office and other miscellaneous expenses.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Preparation and leveling of ground to specified slopes, ensuring proper drainage and stability.
• Use of materials such as grey interlocking paving bricks with a 60mm thickness and 20mm sand bedding.
• Application of approved herbicides and ant poisons under paving areas, along with pest control certificates.
• Testing for compaction and other specified tests to ensure quality standards are met.
• Construction of kerbing and channeling with concrete, ensuring stability and proper water flow.
• Adherence to specified quantities, densities, and construction methods as detailed in the bills of quantities.
