Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the manufacturing, supply, and installation of signage for Ushaka Marine World. The project aims to enhance the visual and informational infrastructure of the facility through various signage types, including banners, directional signs, notice boards, and gazebos, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Manufacture of specified signage materials such as banners, notice boards, gazebos, and directional signs.
• Supply of all required signage components, including frames, vinyl prints, and accessories.
• Installation of signage at designated locations within Ushaka Marine World, including areas like dolphin lookout, kiddies play area, stadium, ticketing, and restaurant zones.
• Provision of signage with specified materials, dimensions, and digital printing requirements as detailed in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the signage include:

• Use of 510gsm White PVC banners with seam welds, hemmed edges, heavy-duty eyelets, and size 1480x1480mm.
• Construction of signage frames from CNC-machined 4mm ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) with gloss white finish, full digital print onto 3M vinyl, laminated, and framed with 50x50x3mm mild steel, hot-dipped galvanized.
• Size and quantity specifications for each signage type, such as 1800x1000mm for banners, 3600x500mm for dolphin lookout, and 2440x1220mm double-sided signs.
• Use of existing frameworks where specified, and fabrication of new frames with corrosion protection (hot-dip galvanization).
• Provision of signage with full digital printing, laminated vinyl, and appropriate framing for durability and visibility.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proficiency in manufacturing signage using specified materials and digital printing techniques.
• Experience in fabricating and installing large-scale signage and structures, including banners, notice boards, gazebos, and directional signs.
• Capability to work with steel framing, galvanization, and vinyl laminates to produce durable signage suitable for outdoor environments.
• Compliance with technical standards for quality, safety, and durability.
• Ability to coordinate installation at multiple designated locations within a specified timeframe.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations during manufacturing and installation processes.
