Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply 400 boxes of Mask Laryngeal Airways in sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4 to Hlabisa Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The goal is to ensure the availability of sterile, latex-free airway devices that meet specified standards for medical use, supporting airway management, ventilation, and emergency resuscitation procedures.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of the specified Mask Laryngeal Airways to Hlabisa Hospital on a once-off basis. The procurement covers sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4, with packaging of 10 units per box. The delivery must be completed within the contractual period, and the products must conform to the detailed specifications provided in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Product Description: Mask Laryngeal Airways, oval-shaped with inflatable cuff, connected to touch, 100% latex free, sterile packaging.
• Materials: Clear PVC or silicone.
• Sizes:
  • Size 1: Neonate (5 kg), cuff volume 4 ml.
  • Size 2: Infant (10-20 kg), cuff volume 10 ml.
  • Size 3: Child (30-50 kg), cuff volume 20 ml.
  • Size 4: Adult (50-70 kg), cuff volume 50-70 ml.
• Packaging: 10 units per box, with specified sizes for each packaging option.
• Standards: Must conform to high-quality standards, sterile, and meet the specifications outlined in the annexed documents.
• Delivery: To be made to Hlabisa Hospital, with all required documentation.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to deliver the specified quantities within the stipulated timeframe.
• Provision of valid documentation such as CIPC registration, BBBEE certificates, and tax compliance certificates to claim preference points.
• Experience in supplying medical devices, particularly airway management equipment, is preferred.
• Capability to provide technical support, product samples if required, and ensure sterile, latex-free products.
• Adherence to procurement policies, including declaration of interest and compliance with the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
