Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supplies of masks, specifically the N95 particulate respirator masks, along with related medical equipment such as endotracheal tubes, suction tips, ultrasound gel, and paper litmus strips, to meet the healthcare needs of Rietvlei Hospital under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various medical masks and related items as specified in the tender documents. Items include:

• Supply and delivery of N95 particulate respirator masks
• Supply of oxygen rebreather masks with bags
• Endotracheal tubes (uncuffed, size 7.0)
• Yankeur suction tips (adult)
• Ultrasound gel (250 ml)
• Paper litmus blue packs (100 strips)

Technical Requirements

• Mask, Particulate Respirator N95: Must be a mask respirator that complies with specified standards, including size, material, and respiratory efficiency.
• Oxygen Rebreather Mask with Bag: Must be high quality, with specified size (about 7), and packaged as a box of 100 units.
• Endotracheal Tube (Size 7.0): Uncuffed, made of specified materials, conforming to high-quality standards.
• Yankeur Suction Tip (Adult): Bulb tip, adult size, high quality.
• Ultrasound Gel: 250 ml, high quality, suitable for medical ultrasound procedures.
• Paper Litmus Blue: Pack of 100 strips, blue in colour, conforming to specifications.
