Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a supplier to provide mass piece verification and calibration/verification services for weight sets, ensuring compliance with SANAS accreditation standards. The aim is to procure high-quality calibration equipment to support the biological products' quality assurance processes.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of SANAS calibration and verification weight sets, including specific models such as Mettler E2 1g and 5g, and a comprehensive set of weights ranging from 0.002g to 200g.
• Calibration and verification services for these weight sets.
• Adherence to procurement procedures via the official OBP supply chain portal.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Provision of SANAS-accredited calibration and verification weight sets.
• Specific calibration standards, including:
• 1g and 5g weight sets (Mettler E2).
• Multiple weights from 0.002g to 200g, with exact quantities specified for each weight.
• Proof of SANAS accreditation for calibration services.
• Compliance with the General Conditions of Contract July 2010.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The supplier must meet the following criteria:

• Be SANAS accredited for calibration and verification services; proof of certification must be provided.
• Complete and submit the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form, including declarations regarding conflicts of interest, employment by the state, and related enterprise interests.
• Provide evidence of BBBEE certification, demonstrating compliance with preferential procurement points, including:
• At least 51% black ownership for racial discrimination points.
• At least 30% women ownership for gender discrimination points.
• Disability confirmation if applicable.
• Register on the OBP procurement portal and upload all required documentation with the bid submission.
• Demonstrate capacity to deliver the specified calibration services and equipment.
