Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 1500 units of Medical Critter Covers for Greys Hospital under the Department of Health in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the supply of quality medical critter covers that meet specified standards and specifications, supporting clinical use within the hospital.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of Medical Critter Covers as described in the specifications, including compliance with relevant standards and quality requirements. The procurement is a once-off contract with a validity period of 90 days, and the items are to be delivered to Grey’s Hospital, Town Bush Road, Pietermaritzburg.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Medical Critter Covers with temperature probes.
• Quantity: 1500 units.
• Compliance with attached specifications, including size, colour, material, and quality standards.
• Samples may be requested for evaluation; only compliant samples will be considered.
• Product must meet the quality standards specified and be new, unused, and current models.
• Delivery to be made in accordance with the specified delivery period, with appropriate packing to prevent damage during transit.
• All documentation, including invoices and certificates, must comply with tax and procurement regulations.

Skills Requirements

• Proven capability to manufacture, import, or distribute medical devices, supported by valid licenses from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).
• Ability to supply products that conform to the specified standards and specifications.
• Experience in delivering medical supplies within the stipulated timeframe and to the required quality standards.
• Competence in providing technical documentation, samples, and after-sales support if required.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including submission of compliant quotations, samples, and relevant documentation.
