Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified service providers on a rotational basis to deliver desludging services for conservancy and septic tanks. The appointment aims to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient wastewater management for various government clients within the Mthatha regional area over a fixed contract period.

Scope

The scope encompasses the collection, removal, and lawful disposal of waste from conservancy and septic tanks serving multiple client sites in Area 5. Services will be executed on a rotational basis, meaning providers will be scheduled sequentially to fulfill work orders as directed by the procuring entity. The contract duration is six (6) months, with operational coordination centered at the Area 5 Office PRD 2 Building in Mthatha.

Technical Requirements

• Demonstrated capacity to safely and efficiently perform desludging operations using appropriate machinery and containment methods.
• Compliance with national environmental, occupational health, and public works regulations governing hazardous and liquid waste disposal.
• Mandatory minimum Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Level 1 status to qualify for evaluation.
