Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Multivitamin Capsules for Port Shepstone Hospital to serve as a dietary supplement for patients. Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of 200 units of multivitamin capsules in disposable containers, complying with detailed specifications provided by the hospital. The procurement is a once-off contract intended to fulfill the hospital's supplement requirements, with delivery to the Port Shepstone Hospital SCM Department at No. 7 Bazley Street during office hours. The process encompasses technical evaluation, price assessment, and preference points allocation based on specific goals such as promoting South African owned enterprises.

Technical Requirements

• The capsules must be combined multivitamin and mineral supplement capsules suitable for men and women.
• Packaging: 30 capsules per container, disposable, with clear labeling including lot number, manufacturing and expiry dates, manufacturer details, recommended dietary allowance, ingredients, and allergens.
• The product must conform to the specifications outlined in the annexure, including size, color, and material requirements.
• Supply must include proof of compliance with SABS/SANS standards or other relevant certifications.
• Bidder must state the shelf life of the product; failure to do so will lead to disqualification.
• Delivery must be made to Port Shepstone Hospital SCM Department during office hours, with no weekend or public holiday deliveries accepted.
• Samples may be requested for evaluation, and non-compliance with sample submission requirements will result in rejection.
