Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply scaffolding erector training for 24 officials at the Bloemfontein Regional Office of the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure. The training aims to ensure participants are equipped with the necessary skills to safely dismantle access scaffolds, identify hazards, develop action plans, and handle scaffolding equipment according to organizational procedures.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Providing training to 24 officials on scaffolding erection and dismantling procedures.
• Identifying hazards and risks associated with dismantling access scaffolds and advising on risk elimination plans.
• Developing and prioritizing action plans for dismantling activities.
• Organizing the sequence of dismantling and controlling work activities in line with safe working methods.
• Stacking and storing dismantled scaffold equipment in designated lay-down areas.
• Adhering to site procedures for material clearance and completing activities within deadlines.
• Moving resources to work areas as per the basic action plan.
• Having the necessary facilities and equipment for demonstration purposes.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Conduct comprehensive scaffolding erector training covering dismantling procedures, hazard identification, and safety protocols.
• Ensure demonstration facilities and equipment are available for practical training.
• Follow organizational safety and housekeeping procedures during dismantling activities.
