Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure needles and syringes to meet the supply needs of Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of specified medical supplies, adhere to procurement regulations, and promote fair and transparent awarding based on price and preference criteria.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of the following items:

• 30 boxes of 100 needle dispensers 25G (Product Code: 5,8)
• 30 boxes of 100 needle dispensers 18G (Product Code: 1.5)
• 20 boxes of 100 syringes 2.5ML L/Lock (DispX100)
• 10 boxes of 100 syringes 1ML with needles (X100)
• 50 boxes of 100 syringes 10ML L/Lock (X100)

The scope also covers supplier requirements, documentation, and compliance with procurement procedures.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the items include:

• Needle dispensers of 25G and 18G gauges with specified quantities
• Syringes of 2.5ML, 1ML, and 10ML capacities with L/Lock features
• Items must be supplied in boxes of 100 units each
• Provision of detailed specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and data sheets
• Proof of previous supply of similar goods within the last 24 months

Skills Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:

• Experience in supplying medical needles and syringes, evidenced by previous supply references
• Ability to comply with technical specifications and quality standards
• Understanding of procurement procedures and documentation requirements
• Capability to provide detailed product specifications, COA, and data sheets
• Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory compliance, including BBBEE certification and disability documentation if applicable
