Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Neonatal CPAP Bonnets to meet the needs of Northdale Hospital, ensuring the supply of specialized headgear designed for infants. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of various sizes of neonatal CPAP bonnets, manufactured using soft and biocompatible materials such as microfibre and cotton. The bonnets must be designed for single-patient disposable use, with adjustable fastening mechanisms (e.g., Velcro or hook-and-loop) to ensure a snug fit. The procurement covers the delivery of the specified quantities to Northdale Hospital within the contract period, adhering to the detailed technical specifications and standards outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Manufacturers or suppliers must demonstrate capacity to produce and supply medical-grade neonatal bonnets in the required sizes and quantities.
• Compliance with relevant standards such as SANAS/SABS for medical devices and materials.
• Provision of samples for evaluation and testing, with at least three highest-scoring bidders submitting samples for approval.
• Ability to deliver within the specified delivery period and meet quality standards.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including SARS PIN, VAT registration, CSD registration, and relevant licensing from health authorities (e.g., SAHPRA).
• Experience in supplying medical disposable products to healthcare facilities.
