Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a nutritionally complete amino acid-based powdered formula intended for a 12-month period. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of 48 units of the specified amino acid-based powdered formula to Port Shepstone Hospital over a 12-month period. The procurement includes providing the product in 200ml bottles, meeting detailed specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and certification requirements.

Technical Requirements

• The product must be high energy (1.5 kcal/ml) and high protein (10g/100ml), suitable for adult use.
• Container size: 200ml bottles, with clear labeling including lot number, manufacturing and expiry dates, and manufacturer contact details.
• The formula must be free of fibre and meet the detailed specifications provided, including composition and quality standards.
• Product must comply with SABS/SANS standards or equivalent certification.
• Samples may be requested for testing and verification purposes.
• The supply must include proper packaging to prevent damage during transit and delivery to Port Shepstone Hospital.
• All products must have a minimum shelf life as specified, with proof provided.

Skills Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and standards.
• Ability to provide certified proof of product quality, including SABS/SANS certification or equivalent.
• Capability to supply the required quantity within the specified delivery period.
• Provision of samples for evaluation and testing by the hospital or relevant authority.

• Ability to complete all required documentation accurately, including disclosure forms, preference points claim forms, and compliance certificates.
