Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure sanitary pads (Pads Sanitary) for St Andrews Hospital under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality sanitary products to meet the needs of the hospital's service users, adhering to specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of 80 bales of sanitary towels (each bale containing 36 packets of 12 pads) as specified in the item description.
• Supply is a once-off contract period, with delivery to be completed within the stipulated delivery period.
• All products must conform to the specifications and standards outlined in the tender documentation.
• Delivery to the specified address: 14 Moodie Street, Harding, 4680.
• Compliance with all applicable procurement policies, including preferential procurement regulations and general conditions of contract.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the supply of sanitary pads include:

• Supply of sanitary towels without loops, packaged in bales of 36 packets, each packet containing 12 pads.
• Products must meet the relevant SANS/SABS specifications.
• Supplied products must be new, unused, and incorporate recent design and material improvements.
• All items must be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of delivery.
• Products should be supplied in accordance with the specifications and standards detailed in the tender documentation.
• All delivery and packaging must ensure products are protected during transit and storage.
• VAT (if applicable) must be included at 15% for VAT vendors.

Skills Requirements

The skills and documentation requirements for bidders include:

• Provision of certified copies of ownership certificates issued by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) or Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Submission of BBBEE certificates or Sworn Affidavits to demonstrate compliance with BBBEE requirements.
• Completion of mandatory forms including the Standard Quote Document, Declaration of Interest (SBD 4), and Preference Points Claim Form (SBD 6.1).
• Provision of technical documentation or samples if required, to verify product specifications.
