Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to render cleaning services at Parys Magistrate Office for a period of 36 months. The aim is to ensure the provision of professional cleaning services that meet specified standards and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the office environment throughout the contract duration.

Scope

The scope of work includes comprehensive cleaning services at Parys Magistrate Office, covering areas such as offices, meeting rooms, hallways, toilets, kitchens, parking areas, and other specified zones. The contractor is responsible for supplying all labour, equipment, cleaning materials, and consumables necessary for the execution of the cleaning tasks as per the specifications outlined in the tender documentation. The scope also encompasses high-rise window cleaning, carpet cleaning, elevator cleaning, furniture polishing, and waste removal, among other duties.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of cleaning services over a 36-month period with specified service levels.
• Supply of all necessary cleaning equipment, machinery, and consumables compliant with safety and quality standards.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, safety signage, PPE, and environmental management.
• Implementation of a service level agreement (SLA) with clear performance and monitoring criteria.
• Participation in site inspections and adherence to specified cleaning frequencies and standards.
• Compliance with legislative requirements such as Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Laws, and BBBEE regulations.
• Submission of relevant documentation including BBBEE certificates, tax compliance, and company disclosures.
• Use of environmentally friendly cleaning products approved by relevant standards.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in providing cleaning services for government or similar institutional facilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
• Ability to supply and operate industrial cleaning equipment, including high-rise window washers and carpet cleaning machinery.
• Qualified supervisory staff with experience in managing cleaning teams and ensuring quality standards.
• Competence in environmental management and waste disposal procedures.
• Capacity to maintain records, reports, and documentation as per contractual and legislative requirements.
• Skills in implementing safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Knowledge of BBBEE compliance and ability to provide relevant certification and documentation.
