Technical Requirements

• Supply exactly 70 new, unused 30-litre red plastic pedal bins.
• Goods must conform to applicable South African National Standards (SANS/SABS) and hospital-grade durability specifications.
• All products must retain a minimum validity or shelf life of six months upon delivery.
• Packaging must withstand rough handling, extreme temperatures, and storage conditions during transit.
• Quoted prices must remain firm for the ninety-day validity period.
• Top-scoring bidders may be required to submit physical samples for verification against set specifications.
• A twelve-month warranty applies, covering defects in design, materials, or workmanship under normal use.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

• Bidders must be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with a verified status.
• Tax compliance must be validated through SARS, or a valid tax pin must be provided if CSD verification fails.
• All mandatory returnable documents must be fully completed, including the Official Price Page, Bidder’s Disclosure (SBD 4), Preference Points Claim Form (SBD 6.1), and signed General and Special Conditions of Contract.
• Physical quotations must be hand-delivered in sealed envelopes to the hospital’s designated tender box before the closing time; electronic submissions will not be accepted.
• To claim preference points under the 80/20 system, bidders must provide verifiable proof of youth ownership via CSD reports or sworn affidavits.
• Bidders must demonstrate financial and operational capacity to fulfill the once-off delivery without a history of contractual defaults.
• No specialized technical skills or service execution capabilities are required, as this is a straightforward product supply tender.
