The primary objective is to procure high-quality, compliant pharmacy packaging and measuring tools for the St Chads Community Health Centre. The supplies will facilitate the safe decanting of bulk medications into patient-specific doses and ensure accurate measurement of liquid medicines, particularly for paediatric administration.

Scope of Supply

The procurement covers a once-off delivery of four distinct items. All goods must be delivered within seven days of receiving an official order, with a quotation validity period of ninety days. The required quantities are:

• Three packs of large tablet bags (130mm × 220mm)
• Five packs of medium tablet bags (110mm × 140mm)
• Two opaque 100ml medicine measuring cylinders
• Five thousand disposable 5ml medicine measuring spoons

Technical Requirements

Bidders must strictly adhere to the attached specifications and quality standards. Key technical mandates include:

• Tablet Bags: Must be white plastic with a zip-seal top, supplied in strip-form for individual detachment. Each bag requires designated space for a pictogram, patient name, dosage directions, and schedule on the front. The reverse must display the facility’s name and address, alongside a multilingual “keep out of reach of children” warning. Packs contain 5,000 bags each.
• Measuring Cylinder: Must be constructed from opaque/cloudy plastic, featuring a stable base stand. Dimensions must range between 25.5–28.5 cm in total height, with a 100ml capacity marked by ten graduated units.
• Measuring Spoons: Must be available in white, clear, amber, or opaque finishes. Each spoon must be clearly graduated at 2.5ml, with a total capacity of 5ml.
• General Conditions: All items must be brand new, unused, and possess a minimum shelf life of six months upon delivery. Products should comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS/SABS) where applicable. Physical samples must be provided for verification prior to final delivery.

• Full compliance with public procurement governance, including active Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, valid tax clearance, and submission of required returnable documents (CIPC registration, B-BBEE status proof, and SANS/SABS compliance certificates).
• Administrative capability to correctly complete standard bid forms, declare conflicts of interest, and claim preference points under the provincial procurement policy.
