Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure physiotherapy items for Mfundo Arnold Lushaba Community Health Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to acquire a range of physiotherapy equipment and consumables that meet specified standards and specifications to support physiotherapy services at the facility.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and possibly the installation of various physiotherapy items including mobility aids, support devices, exercise bands, massage devices, and other related equipment as detailed in the specifications. The procurement covers multiple categories such as immobilization supports, resistance bands, massage guns, treadmills, ankle braces, and cooling sprays, among others, with specifications including sizes, colors, and standards to be adhered to.

The items are intended for use in clinical physiotherapy services, with specific requirements for compliance with standards (e.g., SABS approved) and detailed specifications provided in annexures.

Technical Requirements

• All products must conform to the specifications outlined in the annexure, including size, color, material, and quality standards (e.g., SABS approved).
• Items must be new, unused, and of the most recent models unless otherwise specified.
• Products must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit and storage, with packaging details clearly indicated.
• Items such as resistance bands, massage devices, and immobilization supports must meet specific technical criteria, including dimensions, material composition, and compliance with safety standards.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required, and ensure all items are delivered with relevant documentation and in accordance with the attached specifications.
• Items must be delivered within the specified timeframe, with adherence to quality and safety standards.

Skills Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate capacity to supply and deliver the specified physiotherapy equipment reliably and within the stipulated deadlines.
• Ability to provide technical support, documentation, and after-sales services such as installation, maintenance, and training where applicable.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., SABS) and procurement regulations.
• Capacity to produce or source items that meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Experience in supplying healthcare equipment, with references or proof of previous successful deliveries to similar institutions.
