Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure competent and reliable repair services for municipal plant and equipment. Specifically, the municipality seeks to restore a grader machine to full operational condition through scheduled preventive maintenance, targeted part replacement, and professional technical servicing.

Scope of Work

The successful supplier will be responsible for delivering and executing the following services at the designated Umzumbe municipality offices:

• Perform a comprehensive 1000-hour maintenance service on a grader machine.
• Supply and professionally fit a gear worm circle drive (model 670G).
• Supply two (2) hydraulic pipes compatible with the specified equipment.
• Ensure all parts and services meet original equipment manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Complete delivery and installation within the timeframe stipulated upon order placement.

Technical Requirements

• Quotation must be submitted on official company letterhead, clearly itemized, signed, and stamped.
• Mandatory registration and active compliance with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or certificate issued by the revenue authority.
• Current Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) verification certificate or a certified sworn affidavit.
• Certified copies of identification documents for all company directors.
• Completion and submission of all prescribed Municipal Bidding Documents (MBDs), including declarations on independent bidding, past supply chain conduct, and conflict of interest.
• All quoted prices must be firm, inclusive of applicable VAT, delivery, and offloading charges. Post-submission price adjustments are strictly prohibited.
• Physical submission only; emailed quotations will not be considered.
• Late or incomplete documentation will result in immediate disqualification.

Skills & Qualifications Requirements

• Proven track record and practical experience in heavy plant and equipment repair services.
• Holding of relevant, industry-recognized accredited certificates, trade licenses, and technical qualifications specific to earthmoving and grading machinery.
• Manufacturer-endorsed or equivalent certifications for hydraulic system servicing and precision mechanical component installation.
• Demonstrated competency in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing grader-specific drivetrain and steering mechanisms.
