Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply plumbing, electrical, building, and carpentry materials to Hlabisa Hospital in accordance with specified standards, specifications, and policies. The process aims to ensure transparency, compliance with procurement policies, and the acquisition of quality materials that meet the required standards for hospital maintenance and operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various materials including plumbing, electrical, building, and carpentry items. It covers all related procurement activities, including site inspections, adherence to specifications, and delivery to the designated hospital premises within the stipulated contract period. The materials must conform to SABS standards and be approved for use in hospital facilities.

Technical Requirements

• Materials must be SABS approved and conform to the specifications attached in Annexure A.
• Items include plumbing mechanisms, electrical fittings, building supplies, and carpentry materials.
• All materials must be new, unused, and of the most recent models or standards.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required and ensure all materials meet quality standards.
• All materials must be SARS approved where applicable.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified terms, including proper packing and documentation.
• Suppliers must comply with the Department’s procurement policies, including preference points and BBBEE requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of procurement procedures, policies, and regulations applicable to government tenders.
• Ability to prepare and submit compliant quotations using official forms and documentation.
• Understanding of technical specifications and standards for hospital materials.
• Capacity to coordinate site visits and inspections as required.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and verification purposes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with procurement officials and technical staff.
