Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver horticultural goods and services to Stellenbosch Municipality, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and procurement policies. Scope

The scope also involves submission of relevant documentation, such as B-BBEE certificates, municipal accounts, and compliance declarations.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of specified horticultural products including weed killers, herbicides, and garden hoses, meeting detailed specifications (e.g., glyphosate herbicide, paraquat, nozzles, etc.).
• Compliance with technical specifications outlined in the tender, including product quality, packaging, and safety standards.
• Submission of references demonstrating experience in similar contracts with details of previous work, contract values, and client contact information.
• Adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and performance benchmarks as specified.
• Completion of all required forms and declarations, including supply chain management practices, independence, and compliance with procurement regulations.
• Provision of proof of municipal accounts, property ownership or lease agreements, and tax compliance documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of horticultural products, their specifications, and safe handling procedures.
• Understanding of municipal procurement policies, including the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 and B-BBEE compliance.
• Ability to complete and submit detailed documentation accurately, including bid forms, reference letters, and compliance affidavits.
• Experience in managing supply chain processes, including logistics, delivery, and quality assurance.
• Competence in interpreting technical specifications and ensuring product compliance.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with municipal officials and suppliers.
