Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 50 units of Paediatric Epidural Mini Packs (50mm 18G) that meet specified quality and safety standards, including a minimum shelf life of two years. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of sterile, high-quality epidural systems suitable for paediatric use at Grey’s Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal.

The scope encompasses the supply of epidural mini packs designed for paediatric regional anaesthesia. The items must conform to detailed specifications, including gauge, length, sterile packaging, and filtration features. The procurement process involves submission of samples, adherence to technical and administrative requirements, and compliance with departmental evaluation criteria.

• Must have attachable wings and clear catheter with connector & guide
• Closed end with 3 closer eyes
• Standard 1 cm catheter markings for accurate positioning
• Distal tip mark for visual confirmation upon removal
• Plastic Loss of Resistance Device: 10ml capacity
• Catheter Identification Label
• 0.2 μm hydrophobic supported membrane filter, allowing two-way filtration, aspirate testing, with male and female Luer lock connections, transparent for visual monitoring, suitable for 96 hours use
• Supplied sterile in packs of 10
