Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Rietvlei Hospital's maintenance needs, ensuring safety standards are met and maintained.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various PPE items such as safety boots, workwear jackets, pants, shirts, and related safety gear to Rietvlei Hospital. The procurement covers different sizes and specifications as detailed in the tender documents, with the requirement for compliance to relevant standards and specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to the specifications outlined in Annexure A, including size, colour, material, and quality standards.
• All PPE must meet the relevant SABS or SANS standards and be approved accordingly.
• Samples may be required for verification, and the supplier must provide detailed product specifications.
• Items must be delivered in proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Delivery must be made to Rietvlei Hospital security gate within the stipulated timeframe.
• Suppliers must provide valid tax clearance and comply with all statutory requirements.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate the ability to supply PPE items that meet technical and quality standards.
• Proven experience in supplying PPE or similar safety equipment to healthcare or industrial sectors.
• Capability to provide samples and detailed product specifications upon request.
• Compliance with procurement regulations, including submission of necessary documentation such as tax clearance certificates and CSD registration.
• Ability to adhere to delivery schedules and quality assurance processes.
