Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure PPE uniforms and related safety equipment for Northdale Hospital to ensure the safety and protection of staff, in compliance with the Department of Health Act and relevant safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of PPE uniforms and accessories such as safety boots, work pants, work shirts, reflector vests, hard hats, and socks as specified in the detailed technical specifications. The procurement covers items required for waste management and general safety purposes at Northdale Hospital, including sizes, colors, and specific features outlined in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Safety Boots: Size 4, black, Chelsea shape, genuine leather upper, 200J steel toe cap, steel mid sole, ISO20345 & SABS approved.
• Socks: Black, pack of 3 pairs.
• Work Pants: Size 26, khaki, with side entry pockets, hook & loop closures, knee patches, seat patch, self-fabric binding, back pocket with hook & loop, antique brass zip, coin pocket, back belt loop with embroidery, self-fabric pocket loops.
• Work Shirts: Navy blue, sizes XS (long and short sleeve), double back pleats, button-down front, two front pockets with hook & loop, extra length curved hem, triple needle stitching, stress tacks, branded with Department of Health logo and "Waste Management Officer".
• Reflector Vest: Lime color, size small, with Department of Health logo on the front and "Waste Management Officer" on the back.
• Hard Hat: White, with Department of Health logo on the front and "Waste Management Officer".

Skills Requirements

• Ability to supply PPE items that meet national safety standards (ISO20345 & SABS).
• Experience in providing uniform and PPE supplies to healthcare or government institutions.
• Capability to deliver specified sizes, colors, and branded items as per detailed specifications.
• Proficiency in adhering to procurement policies, including preferential procurement and compliance with legislation.
• Capacity to provide samples for quality and specification verification upon request.
• Ability to meet delivery timelines and ensure quality assurance throughout the supply process.
