Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure pressure cleaning services for car parks, including walls, floors, demarcated parking bays, and parking numbers at the Natalia Building. The aim is to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper marking of parking areas to meet safety and operational standards.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Pressure cleaning of car park walls, floors, and demarcated parking bays at Natalia Building.
• Removal of existing paint and markings, followed by repainting of parking bays and lines in specified colors (white, yellow, black, red).
• Cleaning of parking paving, including vacuuming debris from drains and silt traps.
• Repainting of parking bay lines, stop signs, and directional markings according to specified dimensions and standards.
• Adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and site-specific requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Use of heavy-duty degreasers and industrial cleaning equipment for effective cleaning.
• Application of road marking paints (waterborne, fast-dry, SANS 731 compliant) with reflective glass beads for visibility.
• Repainting of speed humps with yellow and black zebra stripes, parking bay lines, and stop signs with specified dimensions.
• Inspection and cleaning of drains and silt traps prior to washing.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including submission of safety files and disposal certificates.
• Completion within the specified contract period, with work to be carried out outside of normal working hours where necessary.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in pressure cleaning and line marking for parking facilities.
• Qualified personnel with relevant trade certificates (e.g., Painting Trade Test Certificate).
• Active registration with the CIDB with a grading of 1GB or higher.
• Registration and good standing with the Department of Labour.
• Ability to execute the scope of work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical standards and specifications.
• Capacity to provide all necessary equipment, materials, and manpower for the duration of the project.
