Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure primers and PCR sequencing services/products as specified in the scope. The aim is to obtain high-quality PCR primers and sequencing for specific samples, ensuring compliance with technical and procurement standards set by Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of:

• 7 pairs of PCR primers with specific sequences for targeted amplification
• PCR amplicons sequencing for 5 samples

The products must meet the detailed specifications provided, including specific primer sequences and quantities. The procurement process also encompasses adherence to government procurement policies and supplier registration requirements.

All primers and sequencing services must be provided with relevant documentation such as catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and data sheets.

Skills and Supplier Requirements

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active status for South African bidders, including a recent report (not older than 2 months).
• International bidders must request and submit an SBD 1 form from the procurement department.
• Completion and submission of the SBD 4 declaration form, signed and signed by the bidder.
• Compliance with government procurement policies, including submission of all required documentation and adherence to the General Conditions of Contract (July 2010).
• Ability to upload required documentation via the procurement portal and communicate effectively with the supply chain department.
• Demonstrated technical capability to supply PCR primers and perform sequencing as specified.
• Understanding of preferential procurement points system, including BBBEE certification and related evidence for preference scoring.
