Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure printing services and related printed materials for the Amajuba District Office. The specific goals include providing various printed items such as patient folders, posters, guidelines, and other health-related documentation to support health service delivery, HIV/AIDS management, and data management in accordance with national guidelines.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, printing, and delivery of a wide range of printed health materials, including:

• Patient folders (male, female, child)
• Posters (e.g., finger prick posters, viral load algorithms)
• Guidelines and SOPs (e.g., Differentiated Models of Care, HIV management)
• Post mortem dockets and related documentation
• Bin cards and tally cards
• Other health communication materials as specified

The materials must meet specified standards, including compliance with SABS standards, and be delivered to the specified location within the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to detailed specifications provided in annexures, including size, material, colour, and quality standards (e.g., 250gsm uncoated laser paper, glossy covers, laminated posters).
• All printed materials must meet the quality standards specified (e.g., SABS).
• Samples may be required for certain items, and must be provided upon request.
• Items should be printed in accordance with the detailed specifications, including logos, diagrams, and instructions as per annexures.
• Delivery must be timely, with proper packing to prevent damage during transit.
• All items must be supplied with the necessary documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates.

Skills and Capabilities Requirements

• Proven experience in printing and supply of health-related printed materials, with references or proof of similar work done in the public or private sector.
• Ability to produce high-quality printed materials that meet specified standards and detailed technical specifications.
• Capacity to handle multiple items simultaneously, including large-volume printing (e.g., thousands of folders, posters).
• Efficient logistics and delivery capabilities to ensure timely supply to the designated address.
• Compliance with procurement regulations, including submission of all required documentation and adherence to preferential procurement policies.
• Technical competence in handling various printing formats, materials, and finishing processes (lamination, binding, perforation).
