Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified training provider to deliver a Programme in Project Management. The programme aims to enable learners to initiate, lead, and complete various project elements such as risk, time, human resources, cost, and quality management. The training will culminate in a PMI-PMP certification, ensuring participants demonstrate competency in international project management standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a comprehensive Project Management training programme for delegates.
• Development and delivery of learning materials, including study guides and management presentations.
• Class-based training incorporating case studies relevant to participants' functions.
• Assessment and certification through PMI-PMP exam.
• Training to be conducted at the supplier’s training centre or an agreed location.
• Issuance of recognized certificates upon successful completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the training include:

• Training Mode: Classroom-based with case studies related to participants’ functions.
• Certification: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam.
• Learning Outcomes:
  • Understanding and using international project management terminology.
  • Initiating projects, stakeholder management, and developing scope statements.
  • Managing scope changes, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost estimation.
  • Managing project risks and applying procurement principles.
  • Understanding South African Labour Law and Contract Law basics.
  • Applying financial assessment methods and project quality management principles.
• Certification Recognition: Certificates issued must be recognized by PMI, ECSA, SACPCMP, SACNASP, and PMSA.
• Location: Training can be conducted at the supplier’s training centre.
• Duration: To be advised by the service provider.

Skills Requirements

The selected training provider must demonstrate:

• Authorization as a PMI Partner (proof required).
• Experience in delivering project management training aligned with PMI standards.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging classroom sessions with relevant case studies.
• Capability to prepare learners for the PMI-PMP certification exam.
• Provision of recognized certification upon successful completion.
• Compliance with government procurement conditions and submission of all required documentation.
