The primary objective is to procure and deliver high-performance data projectors to enable clear visual presentation of digital content during clinical and administrative meetings at the designated hospital facility.
This is a one-off supply contract requiring the delivery of two (2) data projector units to the specified medical institution. The scope encompasses logistics, delivery to site, and provision of after-sales support through a mandatory warranty period. All quoted prices must be firm, inclusive of delivery costs, and valid for sixty days.
No specialised technical or engineering skills are required from the bidder. However, suppliers must demonstrate strong administrative, logistical, and regulatory compliance capabilities. Essential requirements include:
80/20 Preference Point System: Evaluations allocate 80% of scoring to price and 20% to specific socio-economic goals. Full preference points are awarded to enterprises manufacturing in KwaZulu-Natal that are at least 51% black-owned. Proof of ownership via CIPC or CSD records must be submitted to claim these points.
Phased Compliance Screening: Bids undergo a strict five-phase evaluation covering documentation completeness, mandatory legal requirements, pricing/preference calculations, bidder confirmation, and specification approval. Failure to meet any phase results in immediate disqualification.
Penalties & Termination: Late deliveries incur daily financial penalties calculated at the prevailing prime interest rate. The procuring entity reserves the right to terminate contracts for default, restrict non-compliant suppliers from public sector contracts for up to ten years, and procure substitute goods at the supplier’s expense if obligations are not met.
Firm Pricing & Validity: All quotations must remain fixed for sixty days. Conditional, variable, or non-firm pricing structures will be rejected outright.
