Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a deep cleaning service that will be required three times as and when needed at the Port St Johns Magistrate Court. The service aims to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of the court facilities through comprehensive cleaning of floors, walls, sanitary fittings, and related areas.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Deep cleaning of floors using appropriate tools, machines, and chemicals.
• Deep cleaning of walls to remove dirt, grime, and dust, including corners, baseboards, and fixtures.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of toilets, basins, and sanitary fittings, including removal of deposits and disinfecting.
• Cleaning of other surfaces such as fixtures, doors, walls, and waste pipes.
• Provision of all necessary cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
• Adherence to specified cleaning procedures, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Use of SABS/STANSA approved, environmentally friendly chemicals containing bactericides, disinfectants, virucides, tuberculocides, and stain removers.
• Provision of heavy-duty cleaning equipment including scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners, polishers, and extension leads.
• Compliance with safety standards, including proper signage, PPE, and safe handling of chemicals.
• Effective supervision and trained personnel to ensure quality service delivery.
• Adherence to legislative and safety regulations such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Proper labelling of chemicals and availability of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) at each site.
• Implementation of deep cleaning procedures involving chemical, mechanical, and high-pressure cleaning methods.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing deep cleaning services in similar institutional or governmental facilities.
• Capability to operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
• Qualified and trained supervisory staff for effective management and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of environmental standards and safety regulations related to cleaning services.
• Ability to provide all necessary cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables in compliance with standards.
• Competence in adhering to specified cleaning procedures, safety signage, and personnel conduct.
