Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider to carry out tree felling activities at NHLS Sandringham Campus. The scope includes crown lifting, tree removal, and vegetation clearance, ensuring all vegetation is removed offsite and any infrastructure or vehicle damage caused during work is for the contractor’s expense.

Scope

The scope of work involves:

• Crown lifting: Removing the bottom one-third of selected trees.
• Tree removal: Cutting trees flush with the ground.
• Vegetation clearance: All cut vegetation must be removed offsite.
• Site inspection and assessment prior to commencement.
• Ensuring no damage to infrastructure or vehicles during operations.

Technical Requirements

• Compliance with health and safety standards, including proof of training for staff in working at heights, machine operation, and tree felling safety procedures.
• Provision of workman’s compensation documentation.
• All vegetation must be removed offsite by the contractor.
• All work must be performed in accordance with the specifications, and the contractor must include delivery costs in their pricing.
• Work must be completed within the timeframes specified, with proper site inspection and adherence to safety protocols.
• Submission of detailed pricing schedules, including unit prices and total costs, exclusive and inclusive of VAT.
