Objectives

The primary objective is to secure a one-off supply of white PVC identification cards and complementary security/accessory items to support staff identification and operational needs at the designated regional hospital.

Scope of Supply

• PVC Credit Cards (White): 500 units (five packs of 100).
• PVC Card Holders: 200 units (two packs of 100).
• Badge Strap Clips: 10 packs (100 clips per pack).
• YMCKO Printer Film: 3 units (compatible with Enduro/Rio Pro card printers, rated for 300 impressions each).

The contract is once-off. Successful bidders must deliver all items to the hospital's main gate security guard house. Quoted prices must be firm, all-inclusive, and remain valid for 90 days.

Technical Requirements

• All supplied goods must be brand new, unused, current models, and possess a minimum remaining shelf life of six months upon delivery.
• Products must strictly adhere to the dimensional, material, and packaging specifications provided in the annexure.
• Bidders must confirm compliance with applicable SABS/SANS standards and provide supporting documentation.
• Submission is strictly physical; electronic quotes will be rejected. Envelopes must be sealed and clearly labelled with the quotation number and closing date.
• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD), hold a valid SARS tax clearance certificate, and submit a B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit.
• A valid licence issued by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is mandatory for any entity manufacturing, wholesaling, or distributing the supplied items.

Skills & Capability Requirements

• Established supply chain capability to source, manufacture, or distribute PVC card stock and printer consumables within agreed delivery windows.
• Administrative and financial capacity to fulfil public sector contract obligations, including performance security, warranty servicing, and adherence to penalty clauses for late delivery.
• Competence in navigating government procurement frameworks, including compliance with General and Special Conditions of Contract, disclosure declarations, and preferential scoring mechanisms.
