Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable contractor for the repair and maintenance of the Local Road Construction (LCRC) in several towns within the Free State province, including Bloemfontein, Bethlehem, Phuthaditjhaba, Thaba Nchu, and Welkom. The project aims to ensure the proper upkeep and safety of local roads through qualified construction and maintenance services.

Scope

The scope of work involves the repair and maintenance activities for the LCRC in the specified towns. The tender covers construction-related tasks necessary to sustain and improve local road infrastructure, with specific locations and detailed requirements to be obtained from the tender documents. The work is scheduled to be completed by 1 April 2026.

Technical Requirements

• The contractor must have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 9300 or higher, indicating suitability for the scope of construction works.
• Potential emerging enterprises should have a CIDB grading designation of PE or higher, aligned with the tender value range.
• The evaluation will be based on a scoring model that considers both price and preference, with specific emphasis on compliance with technical and safety standards.
• The contractor must adhere to construction health and safety regulations applicable to the project.
