Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite qualified service providers to submit quotations for the disposal of municipal assets for the 2025/2026 financial year on behalf of Nkomazi Local Municipality. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a formal contract and demonstrate capacity and experience in auctioneering services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of auctioneering services for municipal asset disposal.
• Submission of quotations supported by relevant experience and registration with industry bodies (preferably SAIA).
• Adherence to municipal tariffs and specifications outlined in the bid documents.
• Completion of all required bid documentation, including supply chain declarations and preference claim forms.

Technical Requirements

The technical evaluation will consider:

• Demonstrated experience in auctioneering services, supported by appointment letters or purchase orders for completed projects.
• Capacity to execute projects, evidenced by reports of previous work for medium-capacity municipalities within the last two years.
• Active registration with industry bodies such as the South African Institute of Auctioneers (SAIA).

Bidder must score a minimum of 70 points in technical evaluation to proceed to price evaluation.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• Proven experience in auctioneering, with documented project support.
• Ability to demonstrate capacity to handle municipal asset disposal projects.
• Registration with relevant industry bodies (preferably SAIA).
• Understanding of municipal tariffs, policies, and regulations related to asset disposal.
• Compliance with supply chain management and procurement policies, including completion of all declaration and preference forms.
