Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider with a CIDB grading of 1SO or higher to perform maintenance, repairs, and replacement of all plumbing works at Mogale City owned buildings and facilities. The appointment is on an "as and when required" basis for a period of six (6) months, ensuring ongoing support for plumbing-related maintenance needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Maintenance, repairs, and replacement of plumbing systems at Mogale City owned buildings and facilities.
• Inclusion of systems such as booster and sump pumping equipment, sanitary ware, brassware, domestic water heating systems, water pumps, valves, pressure control valves, non-return valves, mains shut-off valves, and re-tiling of walls and floors.
• Provision of repair and maintenance works across various buildings, covering scheduled and unscheduled tasks as per the schedules of quantities.
• Provision of specialist and unscheduled work with prior approval, including provisional sums and prime cost amounts.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Submission of a valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing before signing the contract or commencing work.
• Provision of detailed CVs and proof of experience for key personnel, including an Artisan Plumber with at least two (2) years’ experience and an Assistant Plumber with at least one (1) year’s experience.
• Demonstration of capacity to execute the scope through relevant previous experience, staffing profiles, infrastructure, and resources.
• Compliance with mandatory documentation such as municipal rates/taxes, municipal service charges, lease agreements, sworn affidavits, and confirmation letters from municipal authorities.
• Adherence to the conditions of bidding, including registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), submission of all required forms, and compliance with procurement policies.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Trade-tested Artisan Plumber with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Assistant Plumber with at least one (1) year’s experience in plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Capability to provide detailed CVs and references demonstrating relevant experience.
• Ability to provide and manage resources, including plant, equipment, and personnel, to execute the scope effectively.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, safety standards, and municipal compliance requirements.
• Capacity to handle both scheduled and unscheduled plumbing maintenance tasks efficiently.
