Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure training services focused on agricultural financial management. The training aims to equip 28 beneficiaries with essential skills in farm business information, bookkeeping, budgeting, machinery management, tax compliance, and financial analysis. The service provider is expected to deliver non-credit bearing training that enhances the beneficiaries' capacity to manage farm finances effectively, supporting agricultural development initiatives within the specified timeframe.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Providing training to 28 beneficiaries in Durban (uMhlanga) from 8th to 17th December 2025.
• Covering topics such as farm business information, bookkeeping, budgeting, machinery management, tax compliance, invoice verification, and financial statement analysis.
• Developing and delivering training materials in either isiZulu or English, including learner activities and visual aids.
• Conducting classroom sessions with a 60% theory and 40% practical farm activities.
• Providing inputs and resources for practical training activities.
• Post-training activities including facilitator reports, evaluation forms, attendance registers, certification, and invoicing.
• Ensuring compliance with specified terms of reference, including submission of company profile, accreditation, staff qualifications, and training program.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the training services include:

• Valid accreditation with AGRISETA.
• Comprehensive learning materials (approximately 100 pages), including learner activities and visuals.
• A detailed training program and lesson plan covering all specified topics.
• Qualified trainers with relevant qualifications, 2-3 years’ experience, and registration with the relevant SERVICE-SETA.
• Training to be conducted from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a balance of classroom theory and farm practicals.
• Provision of inputs and resources for practical activities.
• Submission of facilitator reports, evaluation forms, attendance registers, and certificates upon completion.
• Clear communication and agreement on implementation, delivery timelines, and payment terms prior to training commencement.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider and trainers include:

• Valid accreditation with AGRISETA (AGRISSETA number).
• Expertise in agricultural financial management and adult training methodologies.
• Trainers with relevant academic qualifications and 2-3 years’ experience in agricultural finance or related fields.
• Ability to develop and deliver training in both isiZulu and English, based on facilitator assessment.
• Proficiency in creating learner-centered materials, including exercises, visuals, and practical activities.
• Professionalism and adherence to training standards and ethical practices throughout the training process.
• Capability to manage practical farm activities and facilitate effective knowledge transfer.
