Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and offload disposable gloves as specified in the attached technical specifications. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of quality disposable gloves and related items to meet the needs of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of textured powder-free rubber disposable examination gloves in large and medium sizes (100 gloves per box).
• Supply of disposal double-bladed platinum-coated razor blades (5 blades per pack).
• Delivery and offloading of the ordered items to specified addresses within KwaDukuza district.
• Compliance with specified technical and quality standards, including SABS specifications where applicable.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of gloves that are textured, powder-free, rubber disposable examination gloves in specified sizes.
• Supply of platinum-coated razor blades as specified.
• Compliance with SABS specifications and inspection requirements.
• Delivery within the proposed delivery date (12 July 2026).
• Items must be held at the supplier’s stock and be available for immediate delivery upon order.
• Pricing must be inclusive of VAT (for registered VAT vendors), with total prices clearly indicated.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Proof of compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Valid BBBEE certificate, sworn affidavit, or CSD report to demonstrate empowerment status.
• Relevant experience in supplying medical or disposable protective equipment.
• Ability to deliver within the stipulated delivery period and at the specified location.
• Compliance with tax and procurement regulations, including valid tax clearance and SARS registration.
