Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and offload medication, including specific pharmaceuticals such as Prednisone, Trimethoprim, Metoclopramide, and injectable treatments for hypocalcaemia and hypomagnesaemia, to the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development in KwaZulu-Natal. The goal is to ensure timely and compliant procurement of essential medications for veterinary and human health purposes within the specified scope and standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply, delivery, and offloading of specified medications as detailed in the attached specifications.
• Provision of medications such as Prednisone tablets, antimicrobial tablets (Purbac), anti-emetic tablets, and injectable treatments for hypocalcaemia and hypomagnesaemia.
• Delivery to designated addresses, including the specified delivery date (e.g., 30/06/2026) and location (e.g., 24 Margaret Street Ixopo).
• Compliance with relevant pharmaceutical standards and licensing requirements, particularly for injectable medications requiring SAHPRA approval.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Medications must comply with the specifications attached in the tender documentation.
• Articles must meet SABS specifications and be inspected accordingly.
• For injectable treatments, valid licenses from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) are mandatory.
• Stock must be held at specified physical addresses.
• Pricing must be inclusive of VAT for registered vendors, with clear unit prices and total costs.
• Delivery periods after initial order must be specified and adhered to.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven capability to supply pharmaceutical products that meet regulatory standards.
• Valid licensing and registration with SAHPRA for injectable medications.
