Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and offload PPE gloves and masks in accordance with specified standards and requirements. The aim is to ensure the procurement of quality PPE products that meet safety and compliance standards for use in low toxicity dust areas and other specified environments.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of PPE gloves, specifically entry-level 13-gauge polyester shell gloves with nitrile palm coating.
• Supply of disposable moulded FFP2 masks, lightweight with elasticated straps, suitable for protection against solids and water-based liquid aerosols.
• Delivery, offloading, and proper handling of the PPE items to the designated delivery address in Cedara.
• Ensuring compliance with specified technical standards and specifications, including SABS standards where applicable.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the PPE items include:

• For masks:
  • Lightweight, elasticated straps
  • PP inner with no loose fibres
  • Protection against solids and water-based aerosols
  • Use in low toxicity dust areas
• For gloves:
  • 13-gauge polyester shell with nitrile coating
  • Flexible, comfortable, and abrasion-resistant
  • Oilproof, anti-acid, and anti-alkali resistance
  • Wrist length, packaged in packs of 5
• All PPE must comply with relevant SABS specifications and be inspected accordingly.
• Delivery period after initial order: as specified in the enquiry details.

The skills and competencies required from bidders include:
