Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and offload Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as specified in the attached technical specifications. The procurement aims to ensure the provision of quality PPE to meet safety standards and operational requirements of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of PPE items such as overall pants and jackets in specified sizes and colors.
• Supply of branded cotton shirts for ladies and men, with specified sizes and colors.
• Supply of branded round neck cotton T-shirts in various sizes and colors.
• Delivery, offloading, and distribution of all PPE items to the designated delivery address in Cedara, Mushroom Building, 2nd Floor.
• Adherence to the technical specifications and standards outlined in the attached documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Items must conform to the specifications outlined in the attached documentation, including standards (e.g., SABS specifications), fabric weight (minimum 240g/m²), and stitching quality (triple needle stitching).
• Clothing must be in specified colors (Olive Green, Navy, Khaki) and sizes.
• Garments should feature specific design elements such as concealed YKK zips, stress point bar tacks, chest pockets with press studs, and side vents for ease of movement.
• All PPE must meet safety and quality standards as per the attached specifications.

Skills Requirements

The skills and capabilities required from the supplier include:

• Proven experience in supplying PPE or similar apparel to government or large organizations.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documentation.
• Efficient logistics and delivery capabilities to ensure timely offloading and distribution to the specified address.
• Compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and manufacturing standards, including SABS specifications.
• Capability to provide supporting documentation such as BBBEE certificates, CSD reports, and compliance certificates as required.
