Objectives

The primary objective is to procure a qualified service provider to safely dismantle existing security barriers and install new replacement units at two municipal locations. The project aims to restore structural integrity, improve facility security, and ensure full compliance with municipal engineering standards and supply chain regulations.

Scope of Work

• Lot 1: Remove and replace trelligates at the Beach Office.
• Lot 2: Remove and replace a garage door at the Kings Beach Livesavings Club.

Both items are evaluated as separate single lots. A compulsory site inspection is mandated for Lot 1 to verify site conditions and coordinate access. Detailed technical specifications are maintained by the Supply Chain Management unit and must be consulted prior to submission.

Technical Requirements

• All works must strictly conform to the municipal specifications provided by the Supply Chain Management office.
• Bidders must upload all mandatory minimum requirements to the designated Informal Tender Portal before the closing deadline. Missing documentation will render the submission non-responsive.
• Tender pricing must remain valid for a minimum of thirty (30) days from the submission date.
• All bids must be submitted electronically via the municipal portal. Fax submissions are explicitly prohibited.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

• Competence in structural demolition, metal fabrication, gate installation, and garage door mechanics.
• Ability to work safely within active municipal facilities and adhere to site-specific safety protocols.
• Mandatory registration on the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Supplier Database prior to contract award.
• Full understanding and acceptance of the General Conditions of Tender, applicable definitions, and directives aligned with the Preferential Procurement Regulations of 2022.
