Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to obtain a qualified service provider to perform fault finding and repair work on the kitchen cold room and freezer at Greytown Hospital. The aim is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of essential refrigeration equipment within the hospital's central supply chain management division.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Fault diagnosis of the kitchen cold room and freezer.
• Repair and maintenance to restore optimal operation of the cold room and freezer units.
• Adherence to specified technical standards and specifications as outlined in Annexure A.
• Completion of the repair work on a once-off basis within the stipulated contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Fault finding and diagnostic assessment of the cold room and freezer units.
• Repairs to be carried out in accordance with the specifications provided in Annexure A.
• Compliance with relevant standards and quality specifications (e.g., SANS/SABS standards).
• Use of appropriate and approved spare parts and materials.
• Provision of warranty for the repairs carried out, typically for a period of 12 months.
• Adherence to safety and health regulations during the repair process.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• Qualified refrigeration technicians with relevant certifications and experience in cold room and freezer repairs.
• Proven track record in diagnosing and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and control mechanisms.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and repair manuals.
• Capacity to adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and documentation of repair work.
