Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the repair of a leaking roof and damaged ceiling at Mount Frere Police Station. The project aims to address the identified roofing and ceiling issues to restore the integrity and safety of the facility.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Inspection and assessment of the leaking roof and damaged ceiling.
• Removal of existing damaged ceiling materials.
• Repair or replacement of the roof structure and waterproofing as necessary.
• Reinstallation of ceiling components and finishing works.
• Ensuring the repaired roof and ceiling are weatherproof and compliant with relevant standards.
• Site cleanup and restoration post-repair.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Contractors must have a CIDB grading of 1 GB or higher.
• Work must be completed within the stipulated timeframe, with adherence to safety and quality standards.
• All repair works should comply with the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure conditions of contract and relevant legislation.
• Proper site inspection and assessment must be conducted prior to commencement.
• Use of appropriate waterproofing, roofing, and ceiling materials as specified or approved by the Employer.
• All work must be performed by qualified personnel with relevant experience.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Proven experience in roofing and ceiling repairs, especially in public infrastructure projects.
• CIDB contractor grading of at least 1 GB or higher.
• Qualified technical personnel with relevant certifications and expertise in roofing and ceiling works.
• Ability to conduct site assessments and produce detailed technical reports.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including security clearance if required.
• Capacity to complete the project within the specified timeframe and budget.
