Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the replacement of LED flood lights at St Francis Hospital to enhance security measures.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Removal of existing pole lights behind the main kitchen, opposite the mortuary, in front of the isolation building, behind the isolation ward, on the dooming room building, and other specified locations.
• Supply and installation of new LED flood lights, including the erection of an 8-meter pole, trenching, and cable connection.
• Provision of 30 LED flood light fittings for stock purposes.
• All work must adhere to technical specifications, quality standards (SABS approved), and safety requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Replacement of existing flood lights with new, SABS-approved LED flood lights.
• Installation of new poles (8m height) and associated cabling (100m trench with X16mm X3 core cable).
• Removal and disposal of old flood lights and poles.
• Provision of stock LED flood lights fittings (30 units).
• Compliance with detailed specifications provided in the project documentation.
• Adherence to safety, quality, and installation standards as specified in the project specifications and specifications annexed.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Qualified electrical personnel with valid wireman's licenses (COC) and electrical trade tests.
• Experience in installing and maintaining LED lighting systems in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Proven track record of executing similar projects with traceable references.
• Capability to undertake trenching, pole installation, and electrical connections in compliance with safety standards.
• Ability to provide necessary documentation such as electrical certificates, trade tests, and CIDB grading (EB grade 1 and above).
