The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified company to perform a one-time cleaning of all high-level windows within Ngwelezana Hospital. The aim is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of high-rise windows in accordance with safety and quality standards, thereby supporting hospital hygiene and patient safety.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Cleaning all high-level windows across various hospital buildings, including wards, administrative areas, and service sections.
• Performing the cleaning from top to bottom in a sequence that ensures safety and efficiency.
• Removing dirt, grime, and bird nests attached to the building structures.
• Using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment, including non-abrasive solutions, microfiber cloths, and safety harnesses or rope access techniques.
• Ensuring the work is conducted in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, with minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the cleaning include:

• Adherence to safety standards, including the submission of fall protection plans and use of certified rope access techniques where applicable.
• Use of approved cleaning chemicals that comply with health and safety standards.
• Cleaning to be performed from top to bottom, ensuring thorough removal of dirt and grime.
• Bird nests and other obstructions to be carefully removed without damaging the building or glass surfaces.
• Technicians must be trained, certified, and physically fit to work at heights.
• Proper site demarcation and signage to prevent accidents and ensure safety of staff and visitors.
