Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a one-day accredited (Basic) Fire Fighting training course for all Vaal Central Water employees. The training aims to equip designated Fire Fighters with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to workplace emergencies, ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993. It is also a legal requirement that accredited First Aid and Firefighting training be conducted within the workplace.

Scope

The scope includes providing a one-day accredited Fire Fighting training course for 28 employees, covering both designated and newly appointed Fire Fighters. The training must be conducted on-site at the Vaal Water workplace, specifically at 02 Mzuzu Street Pellissier, Bloemfontein. The training should meet the specifications outlined in the tender documentation and adhere to relevant policies and regulations.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a one-day accredited Basic Fire Fighting course.
• Training must be conducted in the workplace environment.
• The course should be accredited and compliant with occupational health and safety standards.
• Completion of all required documentation, including signed Standard Bidding Documents and specifications.
• Adherence to relevant policies, regulations (Policy Regulations, 2022), and procurement guidelines (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1).
• Submission of a detailed quotation that includes all costs, delivery, and skills development levies.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering accredited Fire Fighting training courses.
